Easter: A Living Hope

April 9, 2023 Speaker: Jesse Phillips

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:3–9

Through Jesus' death and resurrection, we have been given a hope that transcends this world and all its troubles. This hope is grounded in the historical fact of the resurrection, which has been attested to by eyewitnesses and has transformed countless lives throughout history. As we examine the evidence for the resurrection, we are reminded that our faith is not based on wishful thinking or blind belief, but on solid historical facts.

Furthermore, the resurrection has practical implications for our lives as believers. We are made spiritually alive through our faith in Christ, guarded by His power, and sustained by the hope that is stored up for us in heaven. This hope enables us to face trials and suffering with joy, knowing that our future is secure in Christ.
